Music For A Cure

Hello Friends-

Yes, it is true, I am on the verge of turning 30. Instead of gifts, celebrations or old man jokes, I am asking all of you awesome folks to support a charity that I hold in very high regard - Music For A Cure.

More Info - http://musicforacure.org

DONATE - http://www.crowdrise.com/my30thbirthday/fundraiser/michaelrogers

Bob Marley said it best, "One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain."

Music for a Cure's mission is to bring Music Therapy to Children's Hospitals, helping critically ill kids fell better in many different ways. Music Therapy is a recognized practice that has proven to decrease pain in children.

Music for a Cure was inspired by the band Sugar Ray and one of it's biggest fans, Ryan Bates. Ryan was a child who suffered from Cancer and wanted to desperately learn how to play guitar. Sugar Ray band members taught Ryan how to play guitar and it was something he could do alone in his bed and one of the only things that gave him comfort and encouragement and lifted his spirits. Ryan passed away, but his memory lives on and the gift of music will surely be shared with many more children.

Your donations will help bring musicians into SoCal children's hospitals, purchase instruments for kids and fund research in music therapy.

I know times are tight, but anything you can spare will go a long way and I would be forever grateful for your generosity. Obviously if we get over the $2,000 goal that would be amazing as well.

Thank you!!
- Mike
